Junior Training
If your sport-loving child loves to be active, is keen to make friends and have fun, then they’ll love our friendly and supportive club!
The junior section of 4Life Triathlon Club has been a great success since it was first introduced. Our juniors have a great time at their weekly training sessions in East Leake Leisure Centre, supported by our fabulous coaches. We encourage participation in the various junior triathlons series held in our region and enjoy huge success in the East Midlands Series, year on year with frequent top podium positions.
One of our most successful 4Life junior members to date is Sophie Coldwell. Sophie has competed in the women’s event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and achieved several medals in International Triathlon Union (ITU) and European Triathlon Union (ETU) Championships! We’re proud to have helped Sophie on her triathlon journey and continue to watch her progress with pride.
Junior fees
There are two costs associated with joining 4Life:
- Our annual junior membership fee
- Monthly fee for coached training sessions
Weekly Training
Juniors training is open to those aged 8+ who can swim a minimum of 8 x 25m length front crawl unassisted and happy in a lane with others.
Tuesday: East Leake Leisure Centre – 6.30pm-8.00pm
1 session with Neil and Derek
Thursday: East Leake Leisure Centre – 6.30pm-8.00pm has 2 groups – Our swim only group who really want to fly in the water, mainly seasoned tri participants & our inters group who get outdoor and pool time.
In the winter months the focus of the sessions is on swim, run and strength & conditioning. Once the nights get warmer and lighter the cycling discipline and transition is brought back into the sessions.
Free trial
We welcome new members to come along and try us out before committing to joining the club.
If your child is interested, please arrange a trial and ideally have a 200 meter swim time to hand, so we can fit you into the most appropriate lane.
