Ginny Birney and Katy Melton successfully biked 104 miles at the Belles of Belvoir sportive
Big result for David Man-Ohren at the Blenheim Palace Triathlon coming an impressive 13th place
Claire Adam took part in the Dambuster Triathlon at Rutland water
Katie Woad successfully swam the Aquasphere Chillswim Coniston 5.25, that’s a 5.25 mile swim in one of England’s most famous lakes!
Ginny and Chris Birney successfully completed the 102 mile Rutland equipe sportive with Hannah Pole completing the 63 mile event
Getting back to speed David Man Ohren got round a hot evening at the Summer Slstic 10k at Long Bennington
Hannah Pole participated in the Prestwold 10k, looked very fresh and fast on a hot day!
Richard Allen, Paul Leaney, Hannah Pole and Matt Hall took part in the four races in nine days HPRC Grand Prix series, still happening as going to press!

David Man-Ohren, Ginny Birney, Dean Pomeroy, Louise Dunne, Claire Adam and Sue Arrowsmith took part in the Outlaw Half Triathlon this weekend, huge well done to all!
Lovely warm weather for the swim and the bike, maybe not so much for the run. So many of the club senior and junior out supporting this, big thank you also those cheers make a difference.
Paul Leaney and Hannah Pole took part in the West End 8 LRRL race at Queniborough, with that long incline up past South Croxton church, that asks questions, nice event.
Huge congrats to Dean Pomeroy on passing his England Athletics Leadership in running fitness, Dean is now cracking on with his next levels!
Eleanor Taylor took part in the British Triathlon super series in Llanelli
Charnwood commotion our second 4LT social/training ride of the season was a massive success with fourteen riders joining us including some very friendly members of Birstall RC, it’s an absolute pleasure to put these on for all.
Our next outrides are The Wymondham Whirl on June 17th and The Dale Dash on June 24th both are around 50 miles with lunch somewhere in the middle.
Our esteemed Chairperson Hilary McDermott is raising funds for Pancreatic cancer UK via the Big step forward on 15th July

Rob Beers has a Coached Cycling conditioning session on Saturday 27th May, concessions for club members and dare I say the local bistro do very good lunch/breakfasts.
Sophie Caldwell who we are very proud to say came through the 4Life Tri system representing Great Britain won her first ever World Championship series Triathlon series in Yokohama, Japan-Club is always proud of you Sophie!

it’s been a huge upswing swing from the club in recent months ,where do we start?
After around three years lapse the club has again become affiliated to England Athletics , we certainly would make a superb first or second claim club for the many!
Cycling events returned on April 8th with a social cycle out towards the Wreake Valley, into Harborough and the edges of Rutland and back via Melton district. And it’s a shout out to Ginny, Jenny and Chris who successfully took part in the Belvoir cycle sportive.
The club has also been out with fundraising sportives organised by the Dovecote Barn in Barton in Fabis.
Maiden victory by Richard Allen at Barton in Fabis Macmillan 5k a very nice charity event put on by the Dovecote Barn Bistro that recruited runners from many local clubs and saw seven club members participate.
The clubs Tuesday adult running sssions are hitting huge numbers! Led by Coach Rob Beers the team are improving individually incredibly, that fine mix of hard work, team work, technical input and fun.
Rob has recently passed his level 2 Triathlon coaching qualification and a real asset to the club moving forward.

Junior athletes and coaches could recently be seen at Rushcliffe cp-thank you to everyone who took part and made this a success highlighting what we do in the community.
Couch to 5k started April, the club’s venture into new territory with great reports of positivity, we cannot say enough-keep at it!
Super Junior coach Neil Harris took part in Big Bear Events Beacon Hill six hour challenge taking in over Marathon distance and quite a few thousand feet during laps of Leicestershire’s 2nd highest area.
Despite turning 68 years old not long earlier much cherished Paul Leaney ran his first Marathon distance at Manchester Marathon. A few weeks prior Paul was the only 4LT shirt on show at the Belvoir Half Marathon putting in a blinder of a performance!
Whilst the day did not go as planned for Sam Perkins as an assisted wheelchair participant, he did cross the finish line! Sam also made local news and his battle against motor neurone disease whilst raising funds for stand against MND show what a superb warrior he is- you can read and hopefully support Sam here:
